Arriving by plane at one of London's airports...

  • When buying a flight to London, it is worth considering the cost and ease of transfer from the airport to your hotel. Stansted Airport in East Anglia is the home of European Low Cost Airlines such as Ryanair however, a one way ticket to London is more expensive than a tube journey from Heathrow Airport.

    • From GATWICK AIRPORT South Terminal trains bring you to Victoria, London Bridge, Blackfriars & St Pancras in approximately 30-45 minutes. Gatwick Express tickets are the most expensive and not really worth the additional price. The most convenient ticket option is to buy a day travelcard or use an oyster / contactless debit card and pay £8.90 for an off peak one way ticket.

    • From HEATHROW AIRPORT Terminals the Piccadilly Line (London Underground) will bring you straight into the heart of London: Kensington, Knightsbridge, Leicester Square and Euston in approximately 45 minutes depending on your station. The most convenient ticket option is to buy a day travelcard or use an oyster / contactless debit card and £xx.xx for an off peak one way ticket. An alternative pricier option is to catch the Heathrow Express train to Paddington for a one way ticket price of £20 but the journey time is only 15 minutes. Heathrow Connect also serves the airport which is a slower , less frequent and cheaper service to Paddington.

    • From LUTON AIRPORT catch a bus first to Luton Airport Parkway station. From there Thameslink trains run frequently to St Pancras and Farringdon.

    • From STANSTED AIRPORT trains bring you to Liverpool Street in 50 minutes.

    • From CITY AIRPORT the Docklands Light Railway brings you straight into the City of London. Trains either terminate at Bank or Tower Hill. The most convenient ticket option is to buy a day travelcard or use an oyster / contactless debit card and £xx.xx for an off peak one way ticket.
