The Giraffe Centre is a Non-Profit making organisation whose main objective is to provide conservation education for school children and the youth of Kenya. It is located in Karen, approximately 5 kilometers from the centre of Nairobi. The centre was established to protect the endangered Rothchild giraffe, with only an estimated 1500 left in the wild. Whilst at the centre, you have the opportunity to watch or even feed the giraffes pellets of dried grass. Try holding one in your mouth and see if the giraffe will kiss you. Supposedly their tongue is antiseptic.
What is the entrance fee?
KSh 1000 (10 US$)

There are always more photos to be shared, but sharing them all on this journal page will just make it look cluttered – so if you want to see more photos for inspiration, check out my Flickr "2016 - Kenya" album.
