Kilimanjaro Fast Ferries will take you from Dar es Salaam to Stone Town on Zanzibar in around 90 minutes. There are four daily departures with several classes of travel available, but I would recommend just going for the cheapest available which in my case was not Economy as it was supposedly full – perhaps it is better to book online or buy the ticket the day before to save a few dollars.
YELLOW FEVER VACCINATION CARD - IMPORTANT NOTE:
On arrival at Zanzibar ferry port, a nurse directed all foreigners into a separate line and requested to see a Yellow Fever vaccination card. From prior research this seems to be common practice and online information suggests that if you do not have your Yellow Fever vaccination card, the Nurse will inject you there and then for a fee (with probably a dirty needle).
On our flight from Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar about a week earlier (17.02.2018), we were not asked for the Yellow Fever vaccination card, nor were there any nurses around. All we had to do was fill out the immigration form even though we had arrived on a Domestic Flight from Dar es Salaam!

There are always more photos to be shared, but sharing them all on this journal page will just make it look cluttered so if you want to see more photos for inspiration, check out my Flickr Tanzania – 2018 album.
